Genre: Religion / Philosophy, Book 150 pgs (New Testament)
Description:
This is the ‘newest’ part of the major texts of the Abrahamic religions. Lots of people talk about the Bible, use it to guide discussions and politics, and reference the stories, but how many folks actually get around to *reading* it?
Intent of Session:
This religious work stream is reading major religious texts from around the world. We’re discussing the texts as amateurs - you don’t need to be a religious scholar - and trying to understand the importance of the location and time they were written, differences in the ‘what is written’ vs. ‘how it’s understood’, and comparing the stories of major figures who appear in different texts.
