Genre - Justice (Economic/Political/Social)

Film: 1hr 33 min

I first read James Baldwin in university.  It wasn’t for any course, rather I was introduced to his writing as part of my personal journey to better understand myself and the world around me, so heavily shaped by race (whether we know it or not).

This documentary, I Am Not Your Negro, by director Raoul Peck is an entertaining and enlightening powerhouse about the lasting influence and insights of Baldwin’s brilliant work on the history of racism in America.

I hope you can join me for a discussion on the film and how timely it is to what’s happening today.
